I’ll be frank: Sloane is a gem and Hudson is an asshole. Bridesmaid by Chance is a fun read but, at times, it is frustrating as all hell. I understand Hudson, I really do, but wowwwww, Sloane deserved better than the emotional and physical rollercoaster that man put her through every hour. I’m surprised she didn’t come down with some sort of illness from the stress of it all. I thought I might.

As always, Meghan Quinn writes excellent banter and clever quips that have you laughing out loud. There is sex and spice but also family, true connection, and real life drama. There are ludicrous weddings and etiquette classes, and a side to London that I, someone who grew up less than a hour away, surely have never seen before.

Sloane and Stacey’s relationship is so enjoyable to read. Meghan Quinn writes them so perfectly as two very individual and unique characters who are also the most perfect extensions of each other. They juxtapose each other beautifully while also mirroring their sister in other ways. It’s a really gorgeous dynamic to read, and I wish we had more background into their relationship.

Bridesmaid by Chance is fun but it will keep you on your toes. Like Sloane, you will never quite know if you’re coming or going and, if only to relieve the tension in my jaw, I’m quite glad I’ve finished!
