Strong Looks Better Naked by Khloé Kardashian
2.0
First I will admit that I was not expecting this book to be an award winner. I'm not a huge fan of the Kardashians but I can tolerate them and have even been known to sometimes binge watch some of their shows on E. Ok.... Now that we have that out of the way.
Strong Looks Better Naked is a great title and I guess a great way to get more readers. One of the things the Kardashians are really good at is marketing and this book is yet another example of what great marketing can do for you.
The books is not horrible, I will even venture to say that that it's a good summer read. It's fast moving and if you like to dabble in celebrity lifestyles, this book will inadvertently provide you with a little bit of a fix. Be advised that if you are expecting this to be gossip filled you will be disappointed. It looked to me that Khloe was really looking to be helpful and, although nothing in her stories was earth shattering news --- you know the typical "love yourself," "put yourself first".... --- hopefully if reading these no so new aid-bits helps you then she has achieved what she set out to achieve and in the process kept her fame and you interested.
I liked the pictures and honestly she looks amazing. There are pictures throughout the book of her before and after. The difference is amazing and if nothing else she has earned the right to brag a little about that. It takes a whole lot of self discipline to make those kinds of changes so I will give her that.
So, enough of my rambling. I would not recommend this book to everyone but someone who enjoys the celebrity type of lifestyle and wants to read about it, or a younger generation who is growing up with Kardashians. I would say that if you can find it at your library (where i got my copy from) go that route first. I don't believe it's worth spending the money as it is not the type of book would clutter my bookshelves with.
I hope this review is somewhat helpful.
