4.5 - toni morrison is the smartest person to ever have existed. an unreal short story that completely strips the answer from the reader. two characters in similar positions in life, one white and one black. but we are never told which is which. the entire experiment is on the reader. what characteristic does the reader attribute to each race? and although it’s not an important aspect of the story at the end of the day, our human brains are programmed to try and categorize each woman respectively. absolutely fascinating and completely genius
