Forget Me Not by Sarah M. Eden

4.0

Wow, do I have a lot of feelings about this book. Firstly, let me say that Sarah M Eden is probably my favorite author, and this was another strong book from her, even though I was a little annoyed that she was starting a new series before finishing the current Jonquil books.

That being said, my biggest complaint about this book is that it is resolved too quickly. I really didn't like Lucas through the majority of this book, I felt him an idiot, I thought he overlooked many things and then just said he didn't understand why things were the way they were, and even though in his POVs he was constantly saying how he loved Julia, how he treasured her, how he wanted her happy and with him, his actions when he wasn't entirely focused on her said the exact opposite. And then, he has this big moment where he promises to always be whatever she needs, and he's forgiven.... what?

I love how very rarely in Eden's book is the "miscommunication" trope used and I love that it's not used in this book, but the very fact that it's not miscommunication just makes me so mad.

I love Julia, her character and feelings just hit me right and I literally cried tears for her when Lucas did his dumb travel speech.

I'm just sad I didn't meet the Lucas Jonquil from his son's books.

Also, BABY ADAM. I loved getting to see little Adam. Precious, adorable, perfect.

And I am very much looking forward to the other Gents books.
