alicewonders 's review for:
Dava Shastri's Last Day
by Kirthana Ramisetti
Subtitle could easily be "Woman has children for her legacy, forgets they're actual humans."
I really like the way this was written, and it was very entertaining. The characters all suck in their own ways, which I read as a well-executed commentary on generational wealth and privilege.
I also liked the fact that it's set in the future, so when there are flashbacks, they're actually in my present day. My skeptical mind, always finding inconsistencies in these scenes in other books, enjoyed this.
