This is a high level literary fiction.  The author doesn’t hold back on academic terms or vocabulary.  The mystery is taut and the characters are well developed and complex.   I felt like I learned a lot about Angelman syndrome and the family dynamics of dealing with a “child” who has cognitive and physical limitations.
