The Bookshop on the Corner by Jenny Colgan
3.0

This was a nice summer read. I like that it was set in Scotland and enjoyed the idea of leaving your home and job behind and pursuing your dreams in an adventurous way. But the main character felt a little too naive and immature and that became increasingly annoying to me as the story went on. I like happy endings (and this book has one) but I actually felt like this girl deserved to fall flat on her face and be forced to wake up from her silly little day dreams. Maturing her a bit would have made this story a bit more grounded and the ending more gratifying in my opinion.
