When medium, Claire, is booked to host a séance as uni “friend” Figgy’s Nana’s birthday party, she brings Sophie with her. Of course since Sophie does when they were both 17, she hasn’t much choice. When Nana passes away, but not before pointing them in the direction of a confused ghost, Claire and Sophie are thrown into a murder mystery involving the very family she was hired to work for. Who is the ghost and who killed them?

A fun, pacey murder mystery with plenty of off-beat humour but not so much that it feels silly. Claire is a haphazard, burnt out millennial who watches far too many American crime dramas and stumbles upon clues in a way that any real person might. I loved it!
