wow god i am finally free.... and it has never felt worse to be a contrarian with my rating to this. i love messy lesbian litfic where everyone is generally unlikeable and gross so i'm pretty appalled by how much i didn't enjoy this. when it does what it promises on the tin (therapy transcriptionist with bad boundary issues) it's so fun and gripping but that is maybe 20% of the book. at the risk of sounding like a tik tok brain rotted teenager............ literally WHAT was this author yapping about half the time. weird descriptions of dog balls? a million diff bug invasions? not one, not two, but a handful of weird anti-asian sentiments?

anyway. points for inclusion of and proper definition of stone butches and pillow princesses, a rarity even in lesbian lit. loved greta's weird relationship with gender. enjoyed the chapters that were just transcriptions of therapy sessions immensely. everything else i could do without tbh!
