Fate of Storms: Blood of Zeus: Book Three by Angel Payne, Meredith Wild

5.0

Fate of Storms picks up immediately where Heart of Fire left off. Kara and Max have been separated by Hades, and Max will stop at nothing to get Kara back.
World building, Fantasy, Hell. Those are the three words I wrote down while reading Fate of Storms. The three bigguns that I knew I wanted to include in my review.
World building & Hell: Holy Hades. Toto we aren’t in Kansas anymore. I felt like I was truly there with Maximus on his journey to save Kara, like I was there with Kara in Hell. The vision, the detailing, all magnifique. I can see everything in Dis, if I reach out I can feel it.
Fantasy: I have to say, as far as I know, Angel Payne and Metedith generally write in an urban, current, modern setting. LA, of course, being key in this series. But HELL. HADES. GODS. DEMONS. WHAT? I CANNOT. Two of my favorite authors writing in a more fantasy/high fantasy-esque setting? I die. I LIVE. I need more.
AND THE END?? WHAT? Plot twist, cliff hanger ending, say what? More High Fantasy/Mythology say whatttttt?
I do wish we had seen a little more of Hell. We kind of got fast tracked to move the story along but the fantasy lover in me wanted more journey and danger and fighting.
Without giving too much away, Blood of Zeus, Kara and Max’s story, is not done and over with. We have a title for book 4, Bridge of Souls. Which you just have to read Fate of Storms to get that title because it means so much more than you would think.
