This was a tragic, magical, sad, dark, and bittersweet book. I never seen the movies so I was expecting it be cute and not as tragic. While reading it, I felt so bad for the lost boys and Peter losing their mothers. It would be interesting to read this from a psychological view especially with Peter's selfishness and hatred of grown ups.

It's almost a bit dated due to the times so it felt strange and disappointing to read Wendy being pushed to be a mother and how her descendants share the same fate. The ending about Peter forgetting everything was so sad as well.. For some reason, Peter gave me the eeby jeebies due to his controlling nature but I enjoyed the book while acknowledging its flaws.

Anyways being in Neverland was whimsical and it was adventurous. The illustrations added charm and helped to picture what was going on.
