I enjoyed many aspects of this book, however it was the length of a GoT novel, and IMO did not need to be! The book also used footnotes to include additional information that was not necessarily important to the plot. In the e-book the footnotes showed up at the end of the chapter where it was difficult to remember what they were referencing, and just interrupted the pace of the book for me. I found myself skipping a lot of them and not having it really affect my understanding of the book at all.
Pluses: I enjoyed the main character, and her snarky cat-like familiar, and the plot was intriguing and kept me interested!
