Took me a while to get into, but once I was hooked, I was hooked. I didn't know much about the Dust Bowl and I certainly didn't know anything about Dust Bowl migrants and their experience on the West Coast. I enjoyed both perspectives but I think just Elsa's perspective could have told the complete story and helped speed up the pace/length of the book. Informative and entertaining, I'd recommend it!
