Identity: The Demand for Dignity and the Politics of Resentment by Francis Fukuyama

4.0

Fukuyama offers a solid foundation for why identity is a politics driver and why its dynamics require massive consideration.
I really liked how his examples span around the world and then back to very concrete national issues.
The 2nd and 3rd chapter is a bit tough to read (greek philosophy ..), yet helpful. Also a helpful lecture to grasp resentments beyond pure racism against the BLM-movement and discriminations against minorities.
I disagree with his opinions on frontex, but that was 1 page out of 200 :-)
