The Sealwoman's Gift by Sally Magnusson
4.0

I thought this book is very vivid in picturing the different landscapes (Iceland West Islands vs city of Algiers) and for the historical fiction genre the story balances development of real characters with obviously more popular themes like romance (which was my least favourite part).
I like that this forgotten part of Icelandic history has been written into existence, especially from the female perspective that has much of history has gone undocumented.
