Only When It's Love by Olivia Spring

4.0

★★★★

This was suchhh a breath of fresh air. Obviously, the thought of following a self-help book for dating advice seems a little meh, but once you follow along with Alex to read it, it actually makes a ton of sense!!!

I will admit, Luke had me fooled when we first met him,
Spoilerbut even from the start he was a bunch of red flags that I forced myself to look past.
And then when Miles was introduced, I didn't know who to root for. Clearly, I just had to keep reading and would soon find out
Spoilerwhat a POS Luke was

This book was either gonna be the reason why I stay single forever or have just a slither of hope left for the male species. Olivia did not come to play when writing about these icky, DISGUSTING men.
SpoilerI could not be happier for Alex. SHE AND MILES GOT HER HAPPILY EVER AFTER AND THEY BOTH DESERVE IT SO MUCH!!!

I took off one star just because I wasn't particularly fond of the way the dialogue was formatted. Also, for a book whose entire concept revolves around abstaining and waiting six months for sex, when the sex finally did happen it was very anticlimactic and underwhelming.
SpoilerI wanted it to be sooo much more but maybe the author did that intentionally. I suppose when two people are madly in love and vow not to have sex for six months, I guess that just makes the pent up sexual frustration 100x worse, so I get it. I can look past it because the book was veryy good. I hope to read the second book in the series soon!
