The Shadowglass
by Rin Chupeco
“To be perfect without suffering means no change. If you know neither hurt nor hardship, then you will not know the strength they can summon within a person. What’s life’s meaning if you cannot distinguish between happiness and sorrow?”
This series has stolen my heart and is officially in one of my top five of all time. I don’t even have words to describe how brilliant this was. A refreshingly and captivating uniquely magical story woven with loss, love, grief, sorrow, pain, strength, the darkness, revenge, perseverance. Albeit the first book was a bit slow, I flew three the second and third in just a few days; their fast-paced intrigue more than made up for it.
I’m not sure what will compare now.
