Drumul spre iad: Europa 1914-1949 by Ian Kershaw

3.0

I think Ian Kershaw is a great writer and an even better historian. However, his organization of information in this book wasn't the best. For instance, the title of this book is "To Hell and Back" and this gives the impression that this book would be about the military aspect of World War 2 or the sheer brutality of it. Even though this was the case, he also included information on a lot more things such as Politics, Culture, and International History not related to what was being discussed

Regardless, I believe this book would be great for a beginner and I suggest it to those who wish to get more acquainted with Europe during the first half of the 19th century.
