I really enjoyed Haunting Adeline but i could not get into this one. I did not like the writing style in this book and I completely forgot it was the same author as haunting adeline. Yes there is dark content in this one as well but I really struggled to connect to the character and want to root for them. At the end of the book, I felt like the experience was meh.
