I loved Fear the Flames, so I was surprised when I found myself struggling with this sequel.
The first almost 60% of the book is really a lot of world building, history, and information overload, which I think is interesting to do in a second book. But I felt like Fear the Flames was so action packed and some of this could have been introduced in that book. I was just so bored through the first half of Wrath and I was begging for something to happen.
Well, holy crap did I get what I asked for. The last 40% of this book had me in an absolute chokehold. The end had me literally hyperventilating which turned into sobbing. Hear me when I say the end is BRUTAL. I woke up multiple times last night after finishing it and couldn't quit thinking about it.
If you find yourself struggling through this like me, just hang on. And I seriously don't know how I deal with this cliffhanger until we get the next book. I am not well.
