Demons of the Void by David Adams

Tactics! Or the complete lack of them is what more than anything else drove me nuts about this book. This is supposed to be be a grand space opera type of story. It focuses on military and space battles. I have never been part of the military but the idea that you have only three ships and preemptively strike a group that is far technologically and numerically superior is just stupid.

The whole story just made me shake my head at the shear ridiculousness of the military operations, sense of protocol and lack of any kind of tactics. The main character is also ridiculous in her way of dealing with everything and juvenile thinking.

The only thing this book had going for it was that it was decently written. Too bad the content was so terrible.
