Lies Lies Lies
by Adele Parks
An interesting domestic thriller, without much of a thrill!
I am not really sure that this book should be considered a thriller, but I am also not really sure how you would define the genre! It is a plot driven book, that is somewhat slow paced. This book is told over a span of three years from the perspectives of seemingly happily married couple- Daisy and Simon.
There weren't many characters in the novel that I liked- this was not unexpected from my experience with other novels by this author. I liked Lucy and Like, the rest I didn't really care about.
This book did touch on some troubling themes such as; alcoholism, generational alcoholism, rape, emotional abuse, infidelity, infertility, animal anise and more.
Would have preferred this book to be 80-100 pages shorter!
