The only reason I finished this book is because I hate leaving things unfinished, not because the book was interesting enough for it. All action, no actual story. I didn't feel any bond with the characters, I couldn't like them, but also couldn't care enough about them to hate them. Grant also seems to like adding a lot of gross descriptions for the sake of being gross (at least, I haven't found a reason for it...). Add a dose of ableism (the "deformity = bad guy" trope is old, and taking a cane from someone who needs it to walk and stand because you can use it better in a fight is also absolutely not done) and I can't do anything else than give it one star and stay as far away as I can from any other book of this author.
