This is my first 5 star review of the year and let me tell you. I finished this book in 48 hours. I could NOT stop because I needed to know what happened and why things were unfolding the way they were.
Ryder and Elle are the unexpectedly perfect couple who just never were truly able to move on. They were each other’s first love and with the town remaining small and Elle’s best friend marrying Ryder’s best friend— it was inevitable they would collide again. But Elle was not expecting it when it happened.
Things that got me emotional:
- Elle visiting Ryder’s mom because she wanted to be in a place he’s excited in once.
- Elle helping Ryder’s brother get an internship.
- Elle stealing Ryder’s mom’s ID to visit him in jail. My heart was POUNDING and was then crushed and ran over by a semi truck.
- Their banter OH MY GODDD.
- When Elle kissed Ryder at school and then proceeded to date him and not give a shit what anyone said.
- How badass and straight to the point she was about everything. She wanted him so badly but at the same time couldn’t live without him.
