Shep and Thea's story was so good! He still feels guilty about what happened to Rhodes in the first book and being really down on himself. Thea is running from someone who has basically destroyed her life in so many different ways that she is basically living off the grid to stay away from them.
These two come together so well and watching Thea open up to Shep and how their relationship blooms is so rewarding to read.
I thoroughly enjoyed Anson ribbing Shep when he was in his whistling phase. It shows how much they care about each other. There $1 therapy sessions was also a surprise going back to Anson's previous life.
This series is just doing it for me right now. The suspense is great, it's not too cheesy, the relationships are great and the way the other characters are blended into the story is enjoyable.
