Boy oh boy, do I have some stuff to say here <b>(some spoilers, beware!).</b>
The Remo that I saw in the first two books seemed like a whole different person here. Where was the ruthless I-don’t-care-about-anyone-but-my-family Capo? He saw Serafina once and that man turned into another version of himself. And I’m not talking about how he acted after getting Serafina back and seeing what she had hidden from him but even before he let her go. I don’t know, he felt too calm and collected at times compared to the man who would manhandle Kiara when she would flinch in his presence as if that would help her.
On the other hand, I really like Serafina and her pride. She stood her ground and acted like a true Queen in my opinion. Especially when she saved Remo. Overall, though it was an okay book I wasn’t into the whole change in the MMC’s personality (especially when that mostly changed around Serafina). I’m not saying I wanted him to be hurtful towards her but more of his true self who didn’t like disrespect, acted based on his emotions and not logic and was a hothead.
