The Lies of Locke Lamora by Scott Lynch
4.0
It took me a while to get into this book. RL has been hell this month and sometimes I was simply too exhausted to read. On top of that - I'm not a fan of time jumps, especially when they hint at something or someone and this or they just won't show up. So, yeah, it took me quite a while to get into this book and to like it. But, like I do it.
The characters are wonderful and rich. Be it Locke and his fellow Bastards, Chains, Don and Dona Salvara, The Gray King, the Spider and all the others - I like!
The plot itself wasn't terrible new but told in a wonderful way with some surprises - good ones and bad ones! There was once scene that broke my heart. Really broke it. *still sobs*
I like the world in this one. Camorr and all the Elderglass stuff is fascinating and makes me very curious about the Elders.
All in all a very good book and I'm looking forward to the next parts. :)
