I really enjoyed this book, it's written in the form of journal entries over the life time of Logan Mountstuart. He is born in Montevideo, Uruguay in 1906 and lives to a ripe old age so lives through some memorable events of the 20th century. The journal entries take us through his most memorable adventures in different countries at different times. It seems to slow down nicely towards the end, I like how he did that. I found that when you get to the end of the book you're ready for it. It's a long book with small print and a lot of words on the page so you can be reading for quite a while without getting very far in the book, at least that was my experience.
