Becoming Earth: How Our Planet Came to Life
by Ferris Jabr
hopeful
informative
inspiring
reflective
sad
slow-paced
The Gaia hypothesis was new to me and filled me with inspiration and wonder. The first few chapters of this book were riveting, but the final chapters took me a while to get through. They felt a little repetitive, though still contained some great morsels. Jabr uses personal stories of his life and others’ lives throughout which makes this sometimes dense nonfiction book a bit easier to read.
