💭 Thoughts: woooo babyyyy was this a ride. now I am a thriller/mystery girlie so when I read the premise for this book a while ago, I was hype. Black Muslim rep, dark academia boarding school vibes, murder, LGBT+ rep = sign me up! Now don’t get me wrong, I had a good time reading but baby this is a slowwwwww burn mystery. the set up makes sense for what the book ultimately ended up doing but it could’ve been SIGNIFICANTLY shorter in my opinion. it didn’t really start eatingggg until after 60% in, but again the set up makes sense in the end. I love that I couldn’t trust anyone including the protagonist. i love a good morally gray character. I recommend but know what you are getting yourself into.
