I wanted to challenge myself to read a more difficult and heavy novel. Valentine gave me that. Beautifully written. I honestly enjoyed the lack of quotation marks (I've seen so many upset about this) and didn't mind the pov shifts at all. A great literary read although it is slow at times.
Valentine holds a great message for feminism and opens yours eyes to racism that we still see today, even through the story takes place in the 70s. Worth a read of you're up for it. ❤
