I adore the Beartown series so much, it's just one of those books that stays with you forever, the ones you think about over and over again. The Winner, while slow on the first half, made up for it in the latter half. Backman has such a way with words that his books always hits me right in the feelings. His characters so complex, real and alive that I forgot that they're fictional characters. It always amaze me how he writes about these topics in such a raw yet simple way. Every character in his books matter, they all have a purpose, they're all connected and they're all real.
