Not sure what to say about this one.
The writing was technically okay, though I dislike the way the authors voice seems to come through in the different characters perspectives - I suspect we have some different social and political views. It honestly felt like it was written by a man at certain points. And not in a good way.
I thought the characters were irritating, boring and lacking in depth. I really had no interest in what happened to any of them. I disliked the way the MMC brought up his dead ex in every other sentence (which I understand was obviously to show his mental state) but in every scene with other females would comment on their appearance and the possibility of a relationship with them(again, very male-gazey).
It feels a little wrong to give it less than 3 stars because I think it was technically fine, but it just felt lacking and I had no emotional response to any aspect of the book. Sorry!
