The 24th Hour by James Patterson

4.0

Lindsay Boxer, SFPD sergeant, and Claire Washburn, medical examiner, meet Yuki Castellano, assistant DA, and Cindy Thomas, crime writer, at an upscale restaurant to celebrate Claire’s birthday. The happy meeting of the Women’s Murder Club is disturbed by a commotion caused by an attack on a young woman who appears to go by three different names. What is her story? What is the story of the man who seemingly attacked her?

It is nice to return to the world of the Women’s Murder Club (Lindsay, Claire, Yuki, and Cindy). In addition to the original plot line, there are two other story lines. Each is well constructed and satisfying to read. I’ve listened to audio versions of several of the books in this series, so I hear the voices of each of the main characters while reading the dialogue. What fun! I look forward to reading the next book in the series. Thank you, Little Brown and Company and NetGalley, for the chance to read and review an advance reader copy of THE 24TH HOUR.
