this is the first book I've read in a long time that actually made me feel something. i loved the intricacies of the characters and how everyone was connected in their own ways. community starts somewhere.

my only gripe is

that after the hostage scenario truth was revealed the remaining bit of the book seemed to drag out. I kept thinking that it would be the end and it would keep going, lol. but, I loved hearing about the afterwards of each of the hostages and the bank robber.

it's kind of funny how Zara was my least favorite for most of the book but ended up being the character I was rooting for in the end. 

I'm so excited to read more by Frederick backman, I'm obsessed with his writing style.
