Cloud Atlas by David Mitchell

5.0

Revolutionary or gimmicky?

To be truthful I'm not sure, but whatever it was, it affected me badly. Hope is a main theme here, through interwoven stories Mitchell mirrored some poignant truth of our social structure. It boldly showcased the horror of racism, corpocracy and the manipulation of government we are being subjected to in daily basis. It being optimistic hoped for a better place for us or for the generation to come but pragmatically it also stated It Won't be an easy task and one individual's contribution is like a water drop in ocean but that Doesn't stop us from dreaming and hoping and Achieving, what is any ocean but a multitude of drops.

your life amounted to no more than one drop in a limitless ocean!"

Yet what is any ocean but a multitude of drops?
