Twelve Days of Kinkmas by Raisa Greywood
4.5 stars

Carrie and Ryan, the lead characters, have had their story in Pestilence’s Cure, and this is a slice of life story for them - I adore slices of life and always wish they were longer. Carrie and Ryan are at Club Apocalypse for a kinky twelve days of Christmas and they’re mostly watching other kinksters work through themed activities but Ryan is pushing Carrie to actually use her safe words and feel confident that he will actually appreciate her use of them, not be angry!

This short story is dual POV, well written, and a beautiful extension of the main story. I adored the relationship development in the context of kink but especially the underlying trust growth between Ryan and Carrie. The erotic nature of their engagement was a rousing and engaging but I really loved the personal growth and development.

Claimed by My Lawyers by Sylvie Haas
4 stars

Yvette, the female lead, is being sued for having allergens in her allergen-free cafe that caused a customer to have an anaphylactic reaction. Hendrix and Damien, the male leads, enter her meeting with her lawyer, claim her as their girlfriend, and then advise they’ll be acting as her lawyer and intern. Whilst she’s deeply attracted to them both, she’s not sure they’ll be able to save her…

This short story is female lead POV, well written, and complete though I wanted more. I enjoyed Hendrix’s assertiveness in setting up a situation that worked for them all. I enjoyed Damien’s capabilities and willingness to ensure the relationship was facilitated. I enjoyed Yvette’s willingness to give the relationship serious effort, even though she was in a highly stressful situation. I also enjoyed the sexy intimate scenes and the amusement of such an over-the-top unrealistic but fun setup.

I received a complimentary copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review.
