Book Lovers by Emily Henry

4.0

My first Emily Henry book and damn did it have some high expectations because of my friends and their reactions to this book, but I have to admit that she might become one of my must read authors.

This book follows two book lovers (an agent and an editor/publisher) as they try to sike themselves out by thinking they are the villain in all the stories in their lives, but really, they're that second character that you're just dying for them to have their own book and storyline.

I'm so glad I gave this book a chance because honestly, until like the second meet up I was wondering why people were all over this book on every platform I'm on. Only to realize that I'm also becoming that person who will continue to rave about the book. It's a story about second chances, about letting yourself go and just be a dreamer for once.

It's a story about redemption from the past, one that's focused on learning and growing and making your way past what could hold you back. It's allowing yourself to grieve the loss of loved ones, and to fully immerse yourself in new cultures.

This book made me feel seen and fall in love with the concept of being that secondary character. We all know that the best friends and sisters have the best stories anyways!

Honestly, don't just walk to get this book. RUN. It's 100000% worth the read.
