A good book overall. I just feel like the end kind of was anticlimactic. It was just like, “yeah, we caught him. And he finally confessed. He found some bodies and he swears those are the only ones. He won’t get the death penalty, he’ll just stay in prison for the rest of his life.” I was hoping it was more to him. I was half expecting a family with daughters and a wife and a dog. I was expecting to lead them to more bodies. I was expected him to had came from a terrible family or had a bad upbringing, some kind of background but we didn’t get that. But I was hoping more than anything that he was in fact releasing the girls after they left the house. It was so sad to think Ella and — no matter how much time she brought, Sarah was never going to make it and be free again. Overall, I wish the ending was better, but still a solid book.
