David Abram’s Spell of the Sensuous is a beautiful work of ecological philosophy but certainly not one without flaw. A lot has changed in the twenty-five years since its publication (both in a scientific and sociological sense), but I’d be remiss not to mention the positive impact this book has had on the environmental movement of today.
