This is my 3rd Lucy Foley book and my least favorite.  The main mystery was interesting, and her books always have multiple perspectives, but there was sooo many side stories that it became burdensome to follow.  The character development was well done and the scene setting was great.
I was quite disappointed in the ending Eddie got.  The cycle continues.
One thing that I don’t like is that all these people who spent significant time near one another didn’t recognize each other only 15 years later- especially when they all endured something traumatic at the same time and were all old enough at the time that their looks wouldn’t have changed that much. That’s just not believable.  Owen not recognizing Francesca, okay, they may have never crossed paths, but Bella/Alison and Owen not recognizing each other?  Francesca not recognizing Shelley?  Owen not recognizing Shelley even though they grew up together?  Also, did you have to make Owen fall in love with Francesca?  That’s so messed up.

Overall, a decent story with some nagging issues.
