It was a slow start, but it did get better as it went along. Interesting premise, and I like the alternating focuses of the chapters. I was not much of a fan of the way that the emphasized words were underlined in the narrative instead of being italicized, but I got used to it.

I liked that Gemma saved Adele when she realized that she was pregnant, and that it was such a fast decision it really spoke to Gemma's heart. I also loved that they offered her a job at McMaster's after, and that she got to be with Cliff there.
