The Nightingale by Kristin Hannah

5.0

I cannot accurately put into words how amazing this book by Kristin Hannah was. As an author, she has always done an incredible job of transporting you into the book and doing a great job of developing the characters. However, she outdid herself with this book by a long shot. Many people told me that this book became a forever favorite after reading it, so I was excited to begin. WWII and Nazi Germany has always interested me. Kristin Hannah took me into the 1940s with Vianne and Isabelle and really made me see a totally new perspective on such a terrible, terrible time in history. I can't even tell you how often I teared up, at both the bravery, the fear, and the sadness of what was happening.

Do yourself a favor and go read this book right now!
