Four Blind Mice by James Patterson
4.0

Four Blind Mice is the 8th book of the Alex Cross series. He is on his way to leaving the city police when his best friend comes knocking needing his help. Fellow veteran of Vietnam has been arrested for an excessively gruesome murder but John Sampson is positive he’s been framed. If found guilty, he could be sentenced to death.

There were several times in this book I was so nervous I had to stop reading. James Patterson is very good at inciting anxiety. It’s always fascinating watching Alex Cross’ mind work.
