This by far is the best book I've read this year. It's dark, sexy and... dark. I fell in love with Jay and Charlie from the start; even with all of Jays drug issues and demons. I had never read a book that had me on the edge of my seat like Beneath the Burn. Ever single page was something... whether it be drama, abuse, cheating or love. I can't say enough about it without giving anything away, so I'll keep pretty mum on anything descriptive.
And the sex, oh my! Very hot. If you do not like disturbing scenes this is not the book for you. I thought Captive in the Dark was dark, but it has nothing on The Burn.
The book was long, but for everything that happened it needed to be. I found myself wishing for more when I read the last page. I love rock and roll books and mixed with all the drama and hot sex, this is definitely a favorite of mine. This was my first book from this author but it will not be my last.
