Weightless by Kandi Steiner

5.0

Reading Weightless was one of the best things I did this year, it's definitely one of the best things Kandi Steiner ever wrote. This was easily one of the best books I've ever read.

I had such a wonderful time reading this book, it made me feel weightless, something that I haven't felt in about ever.

The main character, Nathalie, was so easy to identify with, as were her problems. But it was so hard to actually identify with her, identify your friend circle with hers, because it was absolutely heart breaking.

I not only adored Nathalie, but I also loved reading about Willow, Rhodes and Mason, their weaknesses and their strengths, their good and bad sides, there was just so much diversity, but it was never, not at any point, too much.

Whilst this book had a lot to do with the psychological and physical consequences of being overweight, it still carried a brilliant plot that was as equally important.

Rhodes was so tragic to read, but as the counterpart to Nat he was the absolutely perfect piece in the puzzle that was Weightless.

I was very hesitant about reading this, having read other reviews and having heard so many things about it, mostly because Nat is someone that I see as myself, too.

I've read many books concerning overweight characters, but none, not a single one of them, has ever touched me in this way. It felt so honest and real and had me pretty much in tears from page one up until the epilogue.

If you have ever been in a situation concerning weight, too much or not enough, and you want to read a book that has so much substance that it'll blow your mind, then you're right where you are meant to be.

This. Is. It.
