Lifespan: Why We Age—And Why We Don't Have to
by David A. Sinclair, Matthew D. Laplante
I didn’t understand all of the science in a casual listen so I don’t think I can speak to how good or true the science is, but at the very least it got me thinking differently so 4 stars for the paradigm shift. The basic thesis is that age should be treated like a disease which will then allow the necessary research to be funded to prolong our healthy years. There is already a lot of innovative and promising research happening and the author believes it is only a matter of time before we are all living much, much longer. He also discusses ethical, economical and environmental problems and solutions that may arise if we began to live longer.
