Trouble in the Green Lands by J. Houser

5.0

After reading J. Houser’s book Seeder Shadow Wars, I knew I wanted to know more, see more, into the realm of the Green Lands.  J. Houser’s latest book, Trouble in Green Lands, did not disappoint.  With another lead character learning who and what she was, it figures that the war between the Seeders and Ivies has taken a turn for the worst, …but there might be hope yet.  New characters are added to the plot, new and surprising twist, new understanding of the problems, but everything remains coherent with the first book.  Who is good? Who is bad? What secrets are yet to be uncovered? The book reads fast but still develops the characters well.  Again, the book is PG 14 in my opinion: some issues very much real to our own world are touched on, but in a tasteful and delicate way.  A third book in what has developed into a Trilogy is on the way and I look forward to reading that one as well.  What rating for Trouble in Green Lands? a 5+ for sure, every bit as good as Seeder Shadow Wars, even better!
