The Burning God by R.F. Kuang

4.0

This book took me awhile to read as I ended up in a bit of a slump.

Holy crap this whole series was amazing though. It kept me interested and wondering what would happen next.

I did predict the ending, but that definitely didn't dampen my enjoyment. These characters had so much growth compared to book one. They overcame a ton of issues and it was nice to see a friendship thrive.

The topics touched on here are hard hitting and realistic. Both when it comes to friendship, growing up, and even some of the things about war. This was very well researched and written.

The writing made the story easy to follow but also made the story very complex. I will definitely be keeping my eye on this author, and will pretty much purchase and read whatever they put out.
