At first I thought it was 13 individual stories, which was fine. But it was actually loosely connected - which I could appreciate the subtle overlaps amongst some of the people. That being said, I do not remember every detail from the first story, so when all of the characters are in the same room at the climax - I forget half of the cast. Also, for a book that reveals a major plot point at the beginning, every story seemed to drag on to get to that point. It was so slow, and relatively tame until the end of chapters but mostly the end of the book. Really felt like a long wait for a reveal that needed not such…
